A REDUCED METHOD FOR ANALYZING THE SYSTEM OF FRAME-SHEAR WALL WITHOUT THE HYPOTHESIS OF CONTINUUM

Abstract
During analyzing the frame-shear wall structure of various storey height subjected to various horizontal loads, we make no use of the habitual hypothesis of continuum for both structure and loads, and apply the Collocation method with B-spline function to determine directly the limited forces and moments of force between frame and shear walls. The recurrence formulas provided in this paper can be applied to various horizontal loads directly. Finally, the method in this paper are reliable and its error are less than that of continuum hypothesis method of continuum by analyses of example and compared with other methods.
