LARGE DEFLECTION ANALYSIS OF DRILLSTRING IN ANNULUS USING NEWTON-RAPHSON METHOD
Newton-Raphson method is used in the analysis of drillstring in annulus.Penalty function method is applied to problems with undetermined boundary.Different parameters in the same equation are described by different forms of element.The nonlinear effects of the curvature of wellbore on the lateral forces on bit are shown through the computations.
