ADAPTIVE MESH REFINEMENT OF FINITE ELEMENT METHOD AND ITS APPLICATION

This paper evaluates stress error norm on the basis of the analysis of continuous condition in stress filed around each element boundary in approximate finite element solution.Adaptive mesh refinement is used to analyze stress concentration of two-dimensional problems.Optimal discretization are realized by combining unstructured mesh generator with finite element computation This method improves reliability and accuracy of the finite element approximation.
