Abstract
This paper presents a method for modifying the designing structural parameters of a bridge structure so that the bridge structure will freely vibrates at prescribed frequencies and modes. Based upon the orthoganal and characteristic equation of modal theory, the equations for solving the modified structural parameters are derived and then, are solved by using of generalized inverse technique. A practical example is given to show the efficiency of the proposed method for resolving the inverse dynamic modification problems of bridge structures.
