VIBRATIONAL ANALYSIS OF THIN PLATES USING A SIMPLE AND EFFECTIVE RECTANGULAR GENERALIZED CONFORMING ELEMENT

In this paper, a simple and effective rectangular generalizedconforming element (RGCE) is used to analyze the problem of free vibration of thin plates. Numerical results show that this plate element is simple, higher precision and easy to be programmed. Meanwhile, combiningthis element with plane stress element the flat plate shell element is constituted. It can be used to analyze the vibration of the shell simply and effectively.
