BOUNDARY POINT ELEMENT AND ITS APPLICATION

This paper presents the concept of the boundary point element and related problems which include the formulae of calculating the corresponding coefficient tensors in BEM equations, the method to calculate the boundary stresses at point elements and the treatment of singularity of linear algebraic simultaneous equations. Finally some examples are given. Using boundary point elements can simulate the actual situation of boundary quantities more objectively and improve the accurate of results greatly.
