In this paper, using the solution of initial parameter form of small deflection theory of thin annular plate and the stepped reduction method, we obtain the calculation formulas of thickness distribution of equi-strength annular plates and carry out several examples under usual used boundary conditions. we compare the volume of the uniform thickness plate to that of equi-strength plate.
