Abstract
In this paper, the contact stresses on the contact surface during 3-dimension rolling were calculated by using a modified rigid-plastic finite element method. The longitudinal and transverse distri- butions of contact stresses on the contact surface under conditions of different ratios of length to height were analysed and discussed. It is shown that there is a good agreement between calculated results and experimental ones.
