SOTCHASTIC FINITE ELEMENT ANALYSIS AND APPLICATION TO COMPOSITES

In this paper, the stochastic finite element method is formulated with utilizing the theory of local averages and eigenvalue orthogonalization technique for random variables. By applicaion to unidirection composites, the sensitivity about the stress and displacement fields to the fluctuation of the fibre orientation is evaluated quantitatively.
