Abstract
The mechanical properties of laminative rock mass appear to be both nonlinear in constitutive stress-strain rela- tions and anisotropic in elastic deformation and strength.This problem can be solved in total strain plasticity directly by the method presented.No iterative process is required to obtain the real solution.This method also discribes the frictional contact problems which are the special case where the layers between mass blocks tend to be zero.
