Abstract
This paper suggests the use of the least square collocation method to analyse the nonlinear problem of axisymmetric static buckling for a shollow spherical shell containing a circular hole under uniformly distributed pressure and ring loading around hole. As some conerete examples showed that the method presented possesses these advantages, such as stability in convergence and accuracy in results. Funthermore, the method appears to be readily exteaded to more complex problems.
