STUDY OF FREE VIBRATION OF A ELASTIC THIN SHELL CONTAINING LIQUID

Abstract
From the point of view of coupling the liquid and a thin elastic shell, free vibration1 of a shell containing liquid was analysed briefly in this pa-per.First,the general solutions were obtained by Ritz's Method and Green's function.It proved that the result of hydrodynamic port is unique,the int-eractionof the structure and the liquid can be expressed as a symmetrical Fredholm's integral operator,and both the structure and the coupling ope-rators can not be reciprocal.Then,the approximate frequency formulas of a circular cylindric al shell fixed or supported on the two ends have been obtained.The result of the numerical calculation has shown consistency of the theory with the experiment.
