Abstract
The problem of intersection stress distribution of sinple-mitred joints of three different mitre angles(δ=15°,30°and 45°),when subiected to int-ernal pressore,is analyzed according to shell finite element in orthogonal curvilinear coorbinates.For the first time,it is verified that within the confines of linear elasticity,there exist phenomenon which was found at first through experiment3 and could not be explained properly by approxi-mate theory analyses3,10.
