Structural Design of the High—Rise Buildings Known as the "Sail Image on the pearl River"

This Paper Presents a general description of the structural design of the "pail Image on the pearl River" Sroject in Guangzhou. This includes mainly the structural scheme, the computation approach, analysis of the computed results, and some of the constructional detailing of a 43—storeyed main building and Six 22 to 30—storeyed auXiLiary buildings. ALso, an outline of the design of foundations is given in this paper.
