Abstract
Nonlinear stability of K8 aluminum alloy single-layer reticulated spherical shells was analyzed with ANSYS. The influences of rise-to-span ratio, load distributions, initial imperfection and supporting conditions on the stability of the shells were discussed. By comparing with steel single-layer reticulated spherical shells. Some static stability conclusions of aluminum alloy single-layer reticulated spherical shells were obtained, which may act as a reference for engineering design.
